    1. If you loved this first book in this series, you will DOUBLE LOVE this book. The stakes are raised and our girl Ruth Ann rises to the occasion.

    2. This was one of the most unputdownable books I've read in a long time. I loved the first book in the series, but this sequel took off with me like a runaway horse!These books, despite having a western setting and feel, remind me of good court intrigue stories: there are lots of interesting characters and perspectives all deftly woven together, each with conflicting political and personal agendas. A thread of mystery runs through the story, and several characters have secrets that unfold in a slo [...]

    3. I enjoyed reading both The Executions ( book one) and Traitors(book two). Ruth Ann and Matthew continue to investigate news worthy events to write about in their newspaper.     4. I cannot say enough good things about this series. I enjoyed reading both The Executions and Traitors. In Traitors, Ruth Ann and Matthew continue to investigate news worthy events to write about in their newspaper. Ruth Ann and Matthew are living in an Indian territory that faces unrest among the Choctaws and the whites that are settling in the area. Ruth Ann faces prejudices that are so hard to read from the whites. Matthew also faces prejudice because he chooses to remain neutral and not take [...]
