    1. How I love the world Patrick Samphire has created--first in Secrets of the Dragon Tomb and continuing in The Dinosaur Hunters.Smart dialogue, plenty of action and adventure--this is a fabulous MG read for kids and grown-ups who love to read great MG fiction.

    3. This novella is SO MUCH FUN. 16-year-old Harriet disguises herself as a boy and sneaks along with her brother-in-law on a dangerous dinosaur hunt in Regency Mars to solve the mystery of a notorious jewel robber's identitybut when murders start happening in the camp, she realizes there's more than missing rubies at stake, and dinosaurs aren't the most dangerous creatures around after all! The whole novella is witty and exciting and full of fabulous details, with fascinatingly suspicious character [...]

    4. Love love love this novella! Patrick Samphire has created a world that I think is absolutely smashing, this Victoriana Mars and this novella is the perfect treat for fans of Patrick's first book who can't wait for the release of his second in 2017! Pure fun. He had me at Mars and Dinosaurs!!! A must read!

    5. This story is so much fun. Patrick Samphire’s colonized mars is always a delight, and the addition of dinosaurs only made the background of espionage, airships, carnivorous plants, and social intrigue even more fun. I really love our main character and I wish her EVERY SUCCESS in her new career, at which she will do brilliantly. Stolen jewels! Dino hunting! Artifact theft! Murder! All the fun stuff.

    7. First, a note. This book did not actually take me 2 months to read. It took about 24 hours. Somehow when I first started it, after a big trip, I got distracted in all the hubbub of life and didn't pick it up again until this past week when I read it quite quickly.Second note, I bought this after Stephanie Burgis' review and recommendation and I'm so glad that I did.In an alternate Regency-era world where Mars has been colonized and dinosaurs still exist, Harriet George takes it upon herself to [...]

    8. This novella was so much *fun*! Harriet George is an engaging protagonist, taking care of her brother in law Bertrand, who is well-meaning but not entirely suited to his job as an inspector. (He is a literary descendant of Bertie Wooster, I suspect, though with fewer awful aunts and cow creamers.) Harry is more than willing to pick up the slack, though, as she investigates the Glass Phantom, a notorious jewel thief, on a airship trip to a Martian dinosaur hunt. As the hunt picks up, Harry uncove [...]
